For years, I’ve been searching for the right lip tint for me. Matte lip tints look too dry on me. Mousse/velvet types are good. But I also wanted to try a glossy finish for a fresher vibe.
One day, I was scrolling through Tiktok and saw that Vice Cosmetics had a B1T1 sale on their Tinted Fling Nourishing Lip Serum. The price was tempting and I got intrigued.
So what is it exactly? A lip tint, lip oil, or lip serum?
About the Product
According to their product page, it is “a lip serum with an advanced gel-to-oil formula and HyalDeca Complex that leaves the most natural tint that fades beautifully“.
Let’s break this down.
First, it’s a lip serum and not just an ordinary lip tint. Its selling point is that it has skin (or should I say “lip”) care benefits in addition to the tint it provides. According to them, it is infused with HyalDeca Complex, which “contains 10 kinds of Hyaluronic Acid, delivering deep, long-lasting hydration for smooth and plump lips”.
The gel-to-oil formula is also interesting because straight from the bottle, it looks gooey or thick like a gel, but when I applied it to my lips, it looked shiny like a lip oil.
When they said it has a natural tint that fades beautifully, I realized they meant it’s a sheer tinted gloss with a shade that’s buildable. It also leaves a tint on the lip if you wipe it off.
Shades

Personal Experience
This lip serum is available in 9 shades, and I got “I’m Yours” and “Lovestruck”. I’ve included some swatches below.

As seen in the photos, there’s a bit of a low color payoff. It’s sheer, but it’s buildable through layering, so you can get a fuller color. Personally, “Lovestruck” is more suitable for me as it’s the right MLBB shade for my lips. “I’m Yours” is cute, but I felt it’s a bit too bright for my skin tone.
Texture
I love how glossy it looks on the lip, giving it a healthy sheen. But it doesn’t feel gooey or sticky when I smack my lips together. Although it looks shiny, it doesn’t feel disgustingly greasy at all. In fact, it feels light on the lips, unlike some of the lip balms I’ve tried that felt heavy and drying. It also has a cooling sensation on the lips when initially applied.
Scent
It has a sweet scent, like candy. When I accidentally tasted it, it had a bit of a sweet taste as well.
Transfer-proof
The glossy part is not transfer-proof. When I blot it on a piece of tissue after a few minutes, there’s minimal color transfer.
Longevity
I’m happy that it lasts for a couple of hours on me, compared to my Happy Skin Lip Mallow, which only lasts around 30 minutes on me. I’m glad that it also leaves a tint after and does not just completely disappear.
Verdict
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
I love this product because it’s great for everyday wear and commuting. It’s not too bold. I’m glad there’s an MLBB shade here for me because it has been a struggle for me to find a natural shade that’s long-lasting and from a cruelty-free company. I just wish it lasted longer, but considering I got it from a buy-one-take-one deal, I’m not even mad about it. It’s a bang for the buck.
